Blog post 3
Through out the process of doing research on my topic i have learn some things that i did not know while I was going through the recruiting process. some of the things i noticed is some recruits favor the use of twitter compared to others. The recruits that favor twitter seem to like the attention that they get from all the fans and they like they feeling they get by having so many followers from all the schools they are interested in fans. But to me it seems that they could care less about the interaction they can have with the coaches from those schools. in retrospect the recruits who don't favor twitter are the opposite. they don't like the fact that these fans put so much pressure on them to choose a certain school, and when they don't pick that school they all the sudden go from all these fans loving them to these fans not caring about them. But they do indeed like the fact that they can interact with coaches. while being recruited recruits have limited ways to contact and talk with coaches, so twitter gives the recruit a way to stay in contact with a coach as much as possible, with out breaking the rules of the NCAA. so my solution to this is create a new social media app that is just for coaches and recruits. It will be platformed similar to twitter where recruits can post about what they are doing and what is going on in there life. since it is just for recruits this eliminates all the scrutiny that recruits get from fans but still allows them to interact with coaches. It also allows recruits to interact with each other and build bonds in case one day they become teammates.
